President Maia Sandu will be making an official visit to Vienna on October 21-22 at the invitation of her Austrian counterpart, IPN reports.
According to the presidential press service, on October 21 Maia Sandu will have a meeting with the President of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen and the two will later give a joint news conference.
Maia Sandu will meet with a series of Austrian officials, such as Deputy Prime Minister Werner Kogler, Parliament Deputy Speaker Doris Bures, Federal Minister for European and International Affairs Michael Linhart, OSCE Secretary General Helga Maria Schmid. In the evening of October 21, President Sandu will have a discussion with representatives of the Moldovan diaspora in Austria.
On her visit to Austria, Maia Sandu will be accompanied by the secretary general of the President’s staff Cristina Gherasimov and presidential adviser on economic issues Veaceslav Negruța. The official delegation also includes Minister of Economy Sergiu Gaibu and Minister of the Environment Iuliana Cantaragiu, MPs Radu Marian and Adrian Belîi and director of the Investment Agency Stelian Manic.
