Premier to visit Brussels in mid-September

The Moldovan grapes, vegetables and fruit have full access to the Romanian market, Prime Minister Vlad Filat told the reporters. Filat said that on September 15 and 16 he will be paying a visit to Brussels, where he will meet with the President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso, the President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy and a number of European Commissioners. During the meetings, the officials will finish the negotiations and reach other agreements that will enable Moldova to fully benefit from the European Union's assistance, including in ensuring Moldovan products' access to the EU markets, Vlad Filat said. The Premier also said that a number of agreements will be signed in Brussels with the European Investment Bank, including a contract for the supply of drinking water of a high quality. Another agreement concerns the revitalization of the wine industry. The European Investment Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Commission will provide by €50 million for implementing this agreement.
