Premier in Athens: Received support motivates us to continue reforms

Prime Minister Dorin Recean discussed in Athens the implementation of joint projects, the advantageous for the citizens of both countries and the expansion of the bilateral relations with the President of Greece Ekaterini Sakellaropoulou. “The received support motivates us to continue the reforms we are implementing at home, for the benefit of our citizens,” said Premier Recean, being quoted by IPN.

Dorin Recean and Ekaterini Sakellaropoulou also discussed ways to boost bilateral cooperation in such areas as the economy, health, culture, energy, and social protection.

The officials also spoke about the start of negotiations on Moldova’s accession to the European Union and the importance of the support of the EU member states.

“The support we have received so far motivates us to continue the reforms we are implementing at home, for the benefit of our citizens, and to contribute to the peace and security of the region,” stated the head of the executive.

The Republic of Moldova and the Hellenic Republic have signed 27 international treaties regulating the following areas: air services, economic, technological and scientific cooperation, promotion and mutual protection of investments, consular aspects, social security, avoidance of double taxation, cooperation in the field of culture, education, customs administration, tourism and readmission.
