Prime Minister Vlad Filat Saturday had a closed-door meeting with officials of the law enforcement bodies. The Premier expressed his concern about the criminal situation in the country and instructed stepping up the measures aimed at identifying offenders. He stressed the necessity of taking preventative measures, underlining that the relevant institutions should cooperate efficiently, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The meeting was attended by senior officials of the Ministry of the Interior, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Security and Information Service (SIS), and the Center for Combating Corruption and Economic Crime.
Prosecutor General Valeriu Zubco said after the meeting that effort is made to discover the persons who attacked two candidates of the PLDM. “We are working on a number of versions and have a series of leads,” said Valeriu Zubco.
SIS director Gheorghe Mihai said they examined the state of affairs and spoke about the necessity of joining efforts to keep the situation under control.
“Relevant decisions were taken. The situation is under control,” said Minister of the Interior Alexei Roibu.
