After the pandemic is overcome, identifying resources for the survival of the citizens and entrepreneurs of Moldova will be a priority, vice president of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” (PPPDA) Alexandru Slusari posted on Facebook.

According to him, the state should cardinally amend the state budget the coming month. A series of capital investments should be abandoned, first of all the investments in the central public administration to which money should be allocated only for basic needs, such as salaries and pensions. Financial support should be immediately requested from the foreign partners and the loans taken out by the Ministry of Finance from commercial banks should be increased.

The salaries of doctors and the entire medical personnel should be doubled and the financial resources allocated for purchasing protective equipment should be substantially increased. Resources are also needed for partially financing the technological unemployment and compensating small traders following the closure of markets. The payment of social and health insurance contributions and VAT for enterprises of the hospitality industry, non-food trade, light industry, agriculture, tourism and other sectors should be put off for at least six months.

A moratorium on state inspections until the end of this year should be instituted and penalties on the non-payment of bills for public utilities should not be calculated for at least three months, with the state lending to the suppliers of such services. The payment of interest rates on loans for companies and private individuals should be deferred for at least six months.

The given measures were discussed in detail with the business sector and there will be proposed more measures that can be applied gradually, said Alexandru Slusari.
