The power wants to involve the extraparliamentary opposition in governance as a critical observer. At the same time, this way the government lends a hand to the opposition. Such opinions were stated in the program “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel, IPN reports.
Referring to Speaker of Parliament Andrian Candu’s request to the opposition to choose a leader who will have access to confidential information and will take part in the meetings of state institutions, political analyst Corneliu Ciurea said the process will involve the power that will adopt decisions and the opposition represented by one politician who will monitor governance from inside state institutions. “It won’t be simple participation. It will be involved participation whose key objective will be to criticize the Government’s acts. This criticism will be formulated not outside, but inside state buildings. To my mind, this process is rather sophisticated from technical viewpoint,” stated the analyst.
According to civic activist Mihail Bagas, a neutral person who would be a public figure, not necessarily a politician, should be chosen as leader of the opposition. The opposition’s accusation now is that the power makes laws to which the opposition does not have access. “It would be better for the opposition to swifter choose a leader and this worked on the group that would make this law so as to state the opposition’s wishes,” he said.
On September 26, Speaker Andrian Candu called on the opposition to designate a leader who will cooperate with the government. This will have access to confidential information and will be able to take part in the meetings of state institutions.
