The General Inspectorate for Emergencies warns the population about the risk of fires given the reduced level of wetness. To prevent emergencies, the people are urged to be very prudent and to strictly obey the anti-fire rules, IPN reports.

The people are asked to avoid the use of fire when destroying household waste and dry vegetation near the housing sector and wooded and agricultural areas. Grownups are urged to monitor the minors and not to allow them to play with sources of fire.

During the dog days, swimming is not recommended, especially under the influence of alcohol. Minors should be under permanent supervision in unknown places and near rivers and lakes. These should not be allowed to swim alone.

The people are urged to protect themselves from the sun in shadowed and cool places and to drink as much fluids as possible.

The State Hydrometeorological Service warned that the high temperatures of 33-36 degrees Celsius will persist on August 8-9. It extended the exceptional danger of fires of the fifth class until August 14.
