Polling station in Baku to work according to special program

The polling station opened in Baku city of Azerbaijan for the presidential elections of November 1 will have a special working program. The voters could cast their ballots between 7am and 6pm. A decision to this effect was taken by the Central Election Commission (CEC), IPN reports.

CEC president Dorin Cimil said the Republic of Azerbaijan, in connection with the Azeri-Armenian military conflict, imposed a curfew in a number of cities, including Baku. Access to the cities is limited, while the citizens cannot stay outside without special permits between 9pm and 7am. Going outside after 7:30pm is not recommended.  

A number of 2,143 polling stations were established for Moldova’s November 1 presidential elections. Of these, 139 are intended for citizens of the Republic of Moldova who are abroad, while 42 polling stations for the persons with the right to vote from the Transnistrian region, Bender municipality and some of the localities of Căușeni district.
