The political crisis is an annoying break in the European integration process and can represent the start of a chaos in society. It generates an economic crisis and can trigger a social crisis if it is not solved. Such statements were made in the program “Good evening” on the public TV channel Moldova 1 on March 29, IPN reports.

”The political crisis from the very beginning represents political instability and causes an economic crisis and may cause a social crisis if it is not monitored and solved,” said political analyst Olga Nicolenco.

She stated that every politician must think about the people, but they don’t do it. “The politicians must not forget at least three principles – that they work for the people, that they must obey the law and that they will not hold the posts forever,” said the analyst.

Sergiu Ostaf, executive director of the Resource Center for Human Rights, said that the political crisis in fact reveals the inability to coherently manage the public institutions. “A political crisis arises when the political forces that are in power are unable to manage the public institutions. Surely, the political crisis could have been avoided if there had been wisdom and cooperation mentality as it was a coalition,” he stated.

Ion Dron, head of the Center for Initiatives and Public Authorities Monitoring, said the current political crisis is atypical and represents the beginning of chaos. “It is very hard to make forecasts when it is a crisis of vainglory involving three or four persons,” he said.

”The power already is unable to, while the population may not want to already,” said the director of IPN News Agency Valeriu Vasilica, making reference to the definition used in the Soviet period for the revolutionary situation.

According to the director of the Institute of Political Consultancy and Analysis “Politicon” Anatol Taranu, the political crisis is an annoying break in the European integration process. “Any democratic society faces political crises. This is imminent. The problem resides in the quality and content of the crisis. Our crisis cannot occur in an established democracy. The politicians do not appropriately react to the challenges of time. This is the problem. They waste time on personal quarrels,” said the political analyst.
