The police started a tactical exercise to simulate the movement of foreign delegations for the June 1 summit. The exercise to simulate official processions is held in Centru and Botanica districts of Chisinau, with subsequent movement to Bulboaca village of Anenii Noi district, where the event will take place, IPN reports.

The tactical simulation exercise was organized by the Ministry of Home Affairs in coordination with the national security authorities and is staged in conditions of heavy traffic on the main arteries of the capital city.

“The authorities bank on the citizens’ cooperation with the police, compliance with the requests of the police, observance of traffic inspectors’ instructions, permissible parking and observance of traffic rules,” said the General Policed Inspectorate that quotas the Media Group for Security New on European Political Community Summit (GMSS-CPE) 2023.

In the course of May, the national security authorities will stage exercises to strengthen interinstitutional cooperation and interoperability and to increase the organizational and response capacity necessary for the proper holding of the EPC Summit.

The Republic of Moldova hosts the second EPC Summit on June 1, 2023. For the first time, 50 heads of state and government and high-ranking European officials will come to Moldova to discuss three main topics: joint efforts for peace and security; energy resilience and climate action; and interconnections in Europe for a better connected and more stable continent.
