The General Police Inspectorate received a batch of equipment for use in the service and for outfitting the police personnel from Poland. The equipment is intended to maintain the police’s capacity to train for regular tactical exercise, IPN reports, quoting the Inspectorate.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland said the batch was donated because of the necessity of strengthening the pro-European government in Chisinau and of ensuring an appropriate public security level. The donation consists of equipment and goods, including arms and munitions, helmets, tactical vests and protection kits.

The donation was made following the signing of a memorandum of cooperation in the field of foreign affairs between the two states in November 2022, being part of the continuous efforts to extend and strengthen partnerships with the EU member states.
