The Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) heads the rankings of the ten most influential political parties of 2013 with 244 points. The Communist Party ranks second with 211 points, while the Democratic Party comes third with 199 points. The party rankings for this year, compiled by the Institute for Political Analysis and Consultancy “Politicon”, were presented in a news conference at IPN.
The Liberal Party takes the fourth position, while the Liberal Reforming Party, which was recently created, ranks fifth. The next spots are occupied by the People’s Movement “Antimafie”, the Party of Socialists of Moldova, the National Liberal Party, the People’s Party of the Republic of Moldova and the Social Democratic Party.
“Politicon” director Anatol Taranu said the rankings of the political parties are stable as the developments on the political arena are rather slow. Only the top three parties have chances to enter Parliament after the 2014 parliamentary elections, while the Liberal Reforming Party must make effort to go out of the uncertainty zone so as to be able to enter the legislature.
The rankings of the most influential parties of 2013 were compiled by 32 experts of the Institute for Political Analysis and Consultancy “Politicon”, who gave grades to the parties according to their influence on the political processes, public performance and presence in the mass media.
