The candidates of the Liberal Democratic Party/PLDM launched on Saturday, September 21, their election campaign for the local general elections on October 20. The management of the party maintains that it is their candidates that have solutions to the problems in each settlement, as they are trained in the local public administration and tested in terms of moral integrity, IPN reports.

PLDM Chairman Tudor Deliu says the party has a strong team that is set on winning. The Liberal-Democratic candidates are reliable people. The PLDM has demonstrated through concrete examples how settlements can be managed, the party has local representatives who have resisted and have not given in to the blackmail and pressure exerted neither by the previous government, nor by the current one.

"We have another exam before us, which we will pass with flying colours. I think the PLDM will have a say in both the local and central public administration,” said Tudor Deliu. "Everybody is talking about European standards, but nothing impedes us to apply them where we work - in mayor’s offices, in settlements," said Tudor Deliu.

The candidate for mayor of the capital, Alexandru Fetescu, said that the PLDM was determined to promote "a different policy", "a policy inspired by the daily needs of each citizen and the will to succeed". According to him, regardless of the ethnic and social origin, regardless of the mother tongue, all are citizens of this country, that must opt together for a better life in the future.

The candidate for the position of mayor in the town of Leova, the deputy chairman of the PLDM Alexandru Bujoreanu, mentioned that the PLDM, which was created in response to the citizens' desire to be released from the yoke of a totalitarian regime, was back to serve the citizens. And the Liberal Democratic candidates would fight not only for the future of villages and cities, but also for the future of the whole country, the future of the children.
