Petrocub took a serious qualifying option in the semi-finals of the Moldovan Cup. The team coached by Lilian Popescu defeated away Zimbru, 2-1, in the first heat of the quarter-finals.
Zimbru opened the scoring in the last minute of the first half, through Eugeniu Sidorenco. Petrocub tied the score in the 63rd minute, through Iaser Turcan, and in four minutes remained with ten people, after the elimination of Andrei Cojocari. Although playing in numerical inferiority, Petrocub obtained victory in the 84th minute, after the goal scored by Alexandru Bejan.
In another match, Milsami was defeated on its own field by Sfîntul Gheorghe, score 0-1. The only goal was scored by Andrei Calac in the 74th minute.
Today, the other two matches are played in the quarterfinals of the Moldovan Cup: Codru - Speranța and Sheriff - Dinamo-Auto.
