Petrocub was defeated 0-2 by Sfîntul Gheorghe in the first stage of the Super League, the top division in Moldovan football. The goals were scored by Calaidjoglu (min. 42) and Ibrahim (72), IPN reports.
Petrocub Hâncești didn’t include a number of top players as they are to meet Hungary’s Fehervar this Thursday in the first leg of the third round of the Conference League. Also, Cebotari, Platica, Bogaciuc and Sandu were unavailable due to injuries, while Țurcan got a serious shoulder injury in two minutes of his appearance on the pitch in the match against Sfîntul Gheorghe.
The other matches of the first stage ended as follows: Zimbru - Sheriff 1-1, Dacia Buiucani - FC Bălți 0-0 and Milsami - Dinamo-Auto 0-0.
