Petrocub signed two more players this winter. The team trained by Lilian Popescu signed contracts with halfback Alexandru Onica and striker Sergiu Plătica, IPN reports.
28-year-old international player Sergiu Plătica came from Milsami with which he competed for the last two seasons. In his career, Sergiu also played for Sfîntul Gheorghe and Speranța, managing to score 18 goals in 106 matches. In 2018, he won Moldova’s Cup together with Milsami, for which he scored one goal in the qualifying competition of the UEFA Europa League. He also played 15 games for the national football team.
Alexandru Onica, 35, was three times champion of Moldova as part of Dacia (2011) and Sheriff (2012 and 2013). In 2016, he won Moldova’s Cup together with Zaria. In the European cups, he played 15 matches and also 20 games for the national football team.
