A pro-European ruling alliance in Chisinau will represent a survival alliance and an alliance for attracting funds, Petrisor Peiu, coordinator of the Economic Analyses Department of the Black Sea University Foundation of Romania, said in the talk show “European horizon” on TVR Moldova channel, IPN reports.

“As the Moldovan Speaker Andrian Candu said, they do not want another alliance than the pro-European one. I think it will be called so for the sake of appearance. In reality, it will be a survival alliance. It will be called pro-European in order to attract funds from Europe. Moscow does not finance. It even cut the funds for Transnistria. The Romanian loan is now the only assistance for the Republic of Moldova. The question is if the first tranche of €60 million reaches Chisinau on November 30,” stated Peiu.

The expert considers the political crisis in Chisinau was generated by the PDM, which hasn’t yet taken into account the consequences. “Those who designed the scenario with the arrest and the no-confidence motion didn’t take the second step. They caused the crisis, but didn’t think up a solution how to get out of it,” said Peiu.

In the same program, Moldovan journalist Vitalie Calugareanu stated that those from the PDM, though they say that they want a pro-European alliance, in reality do not want the European integration. “They need to form a pro-European alliance to go through winter. It’s known that the strings in the PDM are pulled by Vlad Plahotniuc from behind. The pro-Russian position is more convenient in this regard. The PLDM could try again to form an alliance, but this will not last long. For the PLDM, it is more suitable to move to the opposition,” he said.
