The persons who were confirmed or are suspected of having COVID-19 and will be self-isolating will be able to ask for the mobile ballot box at home to vote in the November 1 presidential elections, as the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission decided on October 13, IPN reports.
According to Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu, the mobile ballot box can also be requested on the election day, until 3pm. If a voter comes to the polling station after 3pm and will have symptoms of infection, this will benefit from a green corridor for voting. The area will be later disinfected.
Viorica Dumbrăveanu also said that access to polling places will be allowed only with a protective face mask. The electoral bureaus will provide each voter with a mask.
