The Criuleni Court sentenced the man who murdered a woman and her son in Magdacesti village of Criuleni district to life imprisonment. The man’s female partner, who acted in collusion with him and who is the killed woman’s sister, got 15 years, IPN reports.
The crime was committed last winter. According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the offender and his accomplice planned the murder beforehand as they wanted to take revenge on the family of the woman’s sister. On February 20, 2013, the two went to the house of the victims, who weren’t at home at that time. When the woman and her son returned home, the culprits hit the two with a solid object that they prepared in advance. The woman aged 41 and her son of 16 died on the spot.
In a week, the offenders were arrested and remanded in custody. The sentence can be appealed to a higher court.
