On the occasion of the new school year, the public association “Filocalia” is launching the fourth social assistance campaign “Help the bell to ring for every child” that will be carried out between August 5 and September 5. The goal of the campaign is to facilitate the integration into the school system of children from poor and socially deprived families from Moldova by collecting and distributing school supplies, schoolbags and financial assistance, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué of “Filocalia”, assistance this year is projected to be provided to 250 children from socially disadvantaged families from the towns Chisinau, Sangera, Calarasi, and Comrat, and from the villages Chirsovo, Cioc-Maidan, Cotiujenii Mari, Truseni, Grozesti, Speia, Costesti, Draguseni, and Cosnita.
The children-recipients were selected with the help of the local authorities and the team of “Filocalia”, based on the financial situation of the families. The association calls on the people to contribute to ensuring the schooling of children whose parents do not have financial possibilities to do it. Any donation is welcome.
Donations can be made directly to the association’s address 27 Sfatul Tarii St, of. 12, or by bank transfer. In parallel, “Filocalia” will stage two events to directly collect donations. They will take place in the central park of Chisinau on August 17, at 5pm, and at the home of culture in Speia village of Grigoriopol district on August 24, at 5pm,
