Some of the penalties stipulated in the Code of Administrative Offenses for violation of public order, the right to private life and the commercial secret were raised. A bill to this effect was passed by Parliament in the first reading, IPN reports.
For the violation of the right to information, the private individuals will be punished with a fine of 300 to 1,400 lei.
The penalty for prostitution in public places will be a fine of 200 to 1,200 lei, 40 hours of community service or arrest of 10 to 15 days. The fine for violating public order at night will rise from 200-400 lei to 300-600 lei.
The revealing of information that represents commercial, banking or financial secret will be punished with a fine of up to 250 conventional units.
The bill was adopted in the final reading by a majority of votes.
