The Democratic Party (PDM) hasn’t yet adopted a decision on the dismissal of the current Government or the appointment of a new executive, said the party, commenting on the statements made by MP of the Party ”Dignity and Truth Platform” (PPPDA) Igor Munteanu in a TV program. He noted that the PPPDA, the Party of Action and Solidary (PAS) and the PDM are to meet to agree a new parliamentary majority and to discuss the dismissal of the Chicu Government and the naming of a new Cabinet.

“Under the PDM’s statutes, any decision on the initiation of consultations or the constitution of alliances can be taken by the party’s Executive Bureau, National Political Council or Congress,” the PDM said in a press release.

It noted that if there are discussions between the members of the PDM and representatives of other parties, these cannot be described as consultations on the formation of a new Government.

The PDM stated that it is open to dialogue with all the authentic parliamentary parties, such as the PAS, the PPPDA and the Party of Socialists, but does not see now a possibility of dialoguing with “the team of thieves of billions that is represented in Parliament by the Candu group and the Shor group” and regrets that particular political forces are ready to discuss with these two groups.
