The Democratic Party aims to develop sports infrastructure in each village, while the state will compensate 75% of the price of gym season tickets for children from families with incomes lower than 10,000 lei. Also, the state will compensate half of the price of a theater ticket for students. These are the PDM’s commitments in the youth and sports sectors specified in the country plan “Moldova Different”, IPN reports.
The head of the Democratic Youth Organization Vadim Jora in a press briefing said the young people from the PDM undertake to develop social entrepreneurship programs for young people. In the future, they aim to implement a national program entitled “A sporting nation, a prosperous nation” so as to attract public and private investments for developing sports infrastructure. To stop the exodus of young people from the country, the PDM pledges to implement new grants programs for young farmers.
Vadim Jora noted that among the party’s accomplishments in the fields of youth and sports is the “First House” program, one of the programs by which the young people managed to buy a house. Over 6,000 young people and families benefitted from this program. Another accomplishment is the programs by which the young people can start a business, like “Start for the Youth” whose goal is to integrate the young people into the economic circuit by facilitating the launch and development of sustainable businesses. Over 240 young people were able to start an own business, while another 600 benefited from training in entrepreneurship. Vadim Jora remained that during the time of the Filip Government, the allowance for young teachers was raised from 30,000 to 120,000 lei and the education institutions were this way provided with young teaching staff.
