The MPs of the Democratic Party (PDM) and the Party of Socialists (PSRM) said that they are ready to vote for the bill on nongovernmental organizations in the final reading, but with relevant amendments that would exclude any risk of corruption or non-transparent financing, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the PDM.

The party noted the Government continues to enjoy the support of the parliamentary majority and the President, including for fulfilling all the conditions imposed by the European Union for disbursing the second tranche of the macro-financial assistance. The meeting of the government coalition that involved the whole Cabinet discussed the progress made in meeting the conditions for obtaining the second tranche.

According to the PDM, the parliamentary majority will support the Government so that all the necessary bills are approved in the shortest period of time. The bill on citizenship by investment will be annulled, while the Audiovisual Coordination Council and the Competition Council will be subject to audits.

The press release also says that the MPs of the parliamentary majority and the Cabinet members underlined the importance of the financial resources, especially amid the crisis caused by the novel coronavirus, including the second tranche of €30 million of the EU macro-financial assistance. Prime Minister Ion Chicu assured that despite the crisis related to COVID-19, the financial-budgetary situation started to gradually improve following the decline in the amounts collected into the state budget during the last few months.
