The Communist Party (PCRM) will not take part in the consultations aimed at identifying a new candidate for premiership that will be held by President Nicolae Timofti, the party’s leader Vladimir Voronin announced in a news conference on May 7.
The Communist leader said that Nicolae Timofti should have set consultations two months ago and should have already found a candidate.
In the same news conference, Voronin said that a Head of Parliament should be elected as quickly as possible. They do not insist on a candidate representing the PCRM, but will support only an honest candidate for this post.
Two months after the dismissal of the Government by a censure motion, Nicolae Timofti initiates new consultations to identify a candidate for Premier. The consultations start this afternoon.
