“The appointment of our representative as Deputy Speaker will automatically mean participation in the government. That's why we are very serious and responsible in taking such a decision. We should meet and see if it is necessary to take part in this government,” the leader of the PCRM Vladimir Voronin said during a break in the Parliament's extraordinary session, Info-Prim Neo reports. Vladimir Voronin said the PCRM wanted a wide government coalition and still wants it. “We are not against a wide coalition, but all the partners should have equal statuses,” said Vladimir Voronin. “Either a wide coalition, an apolitical President or early elections,” the Communist leader said, when asked by the reporters in what conditions the PCRM would vote in the head of state. “These are the conditions, but I would not like early elections,” he added. As to the reports that the PCRM might be divided into two, Voronin said he trusts all the members of the party that he heads.
