The Bloc of Communists and Socialists will not vote for the Government led by Dorin Recean. The executive secretary of the Party of Socialists Vlad Batrâncea, Deputy Speaker of Parliament, said their parliamentary group will take part in the Parliament sitting today, but only in order to remind the citizens of the failures of the Cabinet led by Natalia Gavrilița. Vlad Batrâncea said the Socialists and the Communists do not support the team proposed by Dorin Recean and insist on the holding of snap parliamentary elections, IPN reports.

Parliament convenes today to consider giving a vote of confidence to the Cabinet led by Dorin Recean. Vlad Batrîncea said the PCRM-PSRM group will not support the new executive.

“We will speak about the developments during the 18 months of state of emergency, of the problems experienced in the country and will definitely be very vocal. We will seek snap parliamentary elections not because of the reasons that were announced by President Maia Sandu on Monday, but because the citizens want elections. We don’t think that this government will deliver results. We will vote against, but will be very active and will shed light on the decisions taken by the Commission for Exceptional Situations, the billions stolen from public money, how the budget for maintaining the Government, the State Chancellery was raised,” Vlad Batrîncea stated in the program “Reflection Points” on Vocea Basarabiei channel.

The Deputy Speaker noted that the PCRM-PSRM opposition hasn’t taken part in the consultations held by the President with the parliamentary groups because they don’t want to be part of processes that mimic democracy. The team of the PSRM will challenge in the Constitutional Court the way in which Dorin Recean was designated for premiership.

“We will go to the Constitutional Court and have all the chances to prove that the Constitution was violated again. There is the Constitutional Court’s case law that helped cast light on these procedures. The consultations cannot last for two hours only. Why did they hurry so much? They told us that the Gavrilița Government was very good and this was praised. In several hours, this Government resigned, but the reasons weren’t explained to us,” stated Vlad Batrîncea.

Under the law, the Cabinet is accepted by the votes of at least 51 MPs. The ruling party has 63 seats of MP and announced that it will offer full political support to the Recean Government.
