The Democratic Party goes through a reformation process and is to become a party based on authentic principles. Speaking about the future of the party he heads in a video interview for IPN News Agency, the leader of the PDM said many say the reformation of the PDM consists of the removal of persons from the party, but this is not true.

According to the politician, if someone does not agree with the party’s views or exceeds its limits, the person will have to leave as unfit to form part of the team. “For me, it does not matter who the person is and what this has done until now. The further acts of this will count. This effort we make is aimed at creating a database that will allow no one to act outside the rules or the visions shared by the whole team of the Democratic Party,” stated Pavel Filip.

The politician said there are several elements on which the reformation is based. Each member is informed about the developments inside the party. Each member should be sure of the direction they follow together with the party. Each member should be sure that their voice is heard and each member should know and be proud of those who represent them.

Pavel Filip said he wants the politicians in 2020 to act for the country’s benefit and in a way that would show that they learned the lessons of 2019. “Welfare cannot be built on messages of hatred and splitting. We saw that hypocrisy and lie in politics are ultimately punished,” he stated, noting the people should be better and more grateful for Moldovan society to change.

The interview “PDM president Pavel Filip’s view about the state of affairs in Moldovan society at the intersection of years” forms part of the series “Crossroads of years through the angle of the ideal of living better at home” that also involve President Igor Dodon and Prime Minister Ion Chicu and the leaders of the main parliamentary parties Andrei Năstase and Maia Sandu.
