“The next day after the elections, when the political tensions decrease and everyone calms down, the PDM will submit a list of priorities, a plan for overcoming the crisis, to Parliament, the Government, the President,” the leader of the Democratic Party Pavel Filip stated in a press briefing.

The politician noted that during several weeks the Democrats visited 23 districts and had discussions with local organizations and supporters. They considered how the PDM will act in the presidential elections and after them and in eventual snap parliamentary elections.

Pavel Filip underlined that the people approved of the PDM’s decision to choose another type of politics. The people said the presidential election will pass, but they want to know what will happen after them. “They consider the politicians should think how to combine forces to overcome the economic crisis and also the pandemic crisis,” stated the Democratic leader.

The PDM didn’t field a candidate for the presidential elections. Earlier, Pavel Filip said the electoral race involves only two candidates with chances and the PDM will decide which of them to support as a result of consultations with people. They haven’t yet announced a name.
