Almost 5000 patent holders and economic entities from most raions in the country, as well as form the marketplaces in Chisinau municipality demand to immediately annul the Law no 208 of July 7, 2006 because of which about 40000 patentees will lose their workplace and their only source of subsistence. A Resolution in this respect was approved at the protest meeting held on February 12 and organised by the Small Business Association (SBA) and the Committee for Defence of Citizens’ Rights (CDCR), Info-Prim Neo reports. Participants in the meeting requested to annul the Government’s decision on implementation of Information System, which causes serious damage to the small drugstores, and decision on automobile transport, which blocks the activity of private microbus taxis and offer monopolist priorities to the state enterprises and large auto companies. Also the representatives of the small business seek to allow the trade with second hand goods as footwear, toys and cloths for children, as it is allowed in the EU. At the same time, they requested to apply a single tax for micro-enterprises, while the accounting reports to be carried out on a single printed form and once a year. If the authorities ignore the claims of the about 5000 representatives of small business in Moldova, they will continue the protest actions in all the raions. Committees of protest and fight for the economic rights of the patentees will be created in each market, the Resolution adopted at the meeting of the patentees says.
