The Action and Solidarity Party follows attentively the current developments in the Democratic Party. “It is a decisive moment on the trajectory of this political party that chooses between reform and internal cleaning, on the one hand, and the annexation by the Party of Socialists, on the other hand. The choice is between the comfort of some of the MPs and the interests of citizens,” the party says in a press release.
According to the PAS, the National Council of the PDM bears enormous responsibility before its own voters who are primarily pro-European. “We understand that a group of vulnerable MPs will go to the Political Council to transform a decision dictated by Igor Dodon into the decision of the Democratic Party.”
The PAS noted that during the past few weeks it has made effort to find a common platform with the PDM by negotiating the statements on the irreversibility of the European integration path and condemnation of the intentions to federalize the country and initiation of the procedures for dismissing the Government. All the attempts were yet declined on different pretexts.
The National Council of the Party of Socialists mandated the party’s administration to have negotiations and agree political partnerships for ensuring a stable government that could implement its program until 2023 with maximum efficiency. The Council is considering the option of a political partnership with the PDM, which is the only parliamentary party ready to have a dialogue on the issue.
