An attempt by the PAS councilors to convene the meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council failed again. On Tuesday, they gathered in the meeting room, but no other councilors from other groups joined in. The secretary-general of the CMC noted that the meeting is not deliberative, IPN reports.

There were only 16 councilors out of the 51 elected in the room.

"It is sabotage against the real problems of Chisinau residents," said the leader of the PAS group on the CMC Zinaida Popa.

"If the Municipal Council is not convened for six months, it is dissolved, according to the law," explained CMC secretary Adrian Talmaci.

Last Tuesday, the meeting convened on the initiative of the group of the Party of Action and Solidarity to approve the capital city's budget was also declared non-deliberative, with 18 councilors out of the 51 elected present.

On Monday, when asked when the draft municipal budget for 2025 will be ready and why representatives of the City Hall do not come to the CMC meetings convened by the PAS, Chisinau deputy mayor Ilie Ceban answered vaguely. "The CMC meetings are convened by the mayor general, not by a group,” said Ilie Ceban.
