The Chisinau councilors of the Party of Action and Solidarity filed a complaint with the Prosecutor General's Office against decision-makers of the Chisinau City Hall. They invoked the abuse of power and of office in relation to the provisional budget for 2025, IPN reports.
"We file a complaint regarding the commission of particular crimes, some of which are stipulated in the Criminal Code, by decision-makers of the Chisinau City Hall, including the mayor general of the municipality," said the deputy head of the PAS group on the CMC Dumitru Ivanov.
According to him, as last year, this year they found themselves with a provisional budget, signed by the mayor, and in which a number of budget lines were changed.
Ivanov noted that the mayor, as well as the councilors representing the National Alternative Movement Party, avoid discussing the budget with all the councilors.
"We have suspicions that the mayor compiled a budget of almost 9 billion lei to suit him, for various party things and personal promotion, so that they have as many seats of MP as possible in the future Parliament," said the PAS councilor.
Representatives of the Chisinau City Hall have not yet commented on the accusations made the PAS councilors.
