Party of Action and Solidarity elected its administration

Igor Grosu was elected president of the ruling Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) of the Republic of Moldova at the party’s congress of May 15, IPN reports.

Being the only candidate for this post, Grosu was chosen president of PAS with 855 votes in favor and 13 votes against.

Prime Minister Natalia Gavriliță was promoted from the post of vice president to that of first vice president of the party.

The vice presidents on policies are: Mihai Popșoi, Sergiu Litvinenco, Dan Perciun, Andrei Spînu, Virgiliu Pâslariuc, Liliana Nicolaescu-Onofrei, Radu Marian, Olesea Stamate, Vladimir Bolea, Ina Coșeru.

The vice presidents on party bodies are: Doina Gherman, Veronica Roșca, Ion Groza, Lilian Carp, Adrian Baluțel, Larisa Voloh.

The members of the party’s Bureau are: Oazu Nantoi, Vasile Grădinaru, Roman Cojuhari, Ana Calinici.

There were also elected seven members of the National Standing Bureau. These are: Petru Frunze, Andrian Cheptonar, Liliana Grosu, Podreanu Alexei, Larisa Novac, Valentina Manic, Angela Munteanu-Pojoga.

Igor Grosu said that his team has a historical duty to bring the Republic of Moldova into the European community and to bring Europe at home.

The event involved MEP Siegfried Mureșan, vice president of the European People’s Party, who noted that the Republic of Moldova is now a model of good governance for the whole Europe. “You gave to the state the best government team that the Republic of Moldova had the past 30 years. Moldova will be supported, helped regardless of the difficulties that will appear. Moldova will not be alone. Romania and Europe stand by the Republic of Moldova,” he stated.
