The Party “We Build Europe at Home” (PACE), led by Gheorghe Cavcaliuc, called on the Party of Action and Solidarity, the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform”, the National Unity Party and the Union Political Bloc to combine forces and consider fielding electoral candidates with pro-European views so as to increase the chances of winning the upcoming presidential elections, IPN reports.
“The election of a pro-European President is a national priority. So, we aim to look objectively at the future and to build a partnership for these elections. We will take revenge during the snap parliamentary elections of next summer, in a democratic competition. This dialogue would be a gesture of wisdom and political maturity. Such decisions are taken with difficulty, but are necessary for a noble goal – to develop the Republic of Moldova,” says the call.
According to the PACE, everyone knows the chances of the party’s candidate to become President without the support of the other pro-European forces. “The PACE urges to have a civilized dialogue based on partnership so as to implement the agendas of all the invited parties. The personal ambitions of the parties of the right and the political leaders would lead to the loss of the post of President of Republic of Moldova for these,” says the approach.
The party also said that a precedent was set at the new parliamentary elections in single-member constituency in Hâncești, when not reason, the national interest and arguments, but the personal ego, the angers of political leaders, personal frustrations and the narrow party interests prevailed.
