Parliament’s winter recess starts on December 30

The Parliament will convene Friday, December 29, in the last plenary sitting of the autumn-winter session, according to a decision voted by the Standing Bureau of the Parliament on Tuesday.
The last meeting will be a summary on autumn-winter session 2006 made by the Parliament’s leadership and leaders of parliamentary factions.
At the same time, members of the Standing Bureau decided to summon an additional sitting next week December 27. As well, the Parliament will come together for an ordinary plenary sitting on Thursday December 28.
The Law regarding the administrative decentralization, Law on local public administration and Law on local public finances are among the bills that are to be examined and debated in second reading by the MPs during the last plenary sitting.
In the last week of the current session, the Parliament will also discuss the bill regarding ratification of the Framework-Agreement between the Moldovan Government and EC concerning the foreign assistance, signed in Brussels on May 11, 2006, and will examine amendments to the Law on annulment of visa regime for the citizens of the EU member states, the USA, Canada, Swiss Confederation and Japan.
The current session of the Parliament started on October 5.
