The lawmakers agreed not to hold plenary sittings during the next two weeks, until the June 14 local general elections.

The Parliament’s secretary general Ala Popescu has told IPN that many MPs in this period make field trips and, in order to allow everyone to work in equal conditions, it was agreed to hold no sitting over the next two weeks.

Work in the legislative body does not stop yet. The activity within commissions and factions is not interrupted, stated the Parliament’s secretary general.
