Deputy Speaker of Parliament Alexandru Slusari said he was surprised to learn that the legislative body will have no plenary sittings this week. The MP of the PPPDA noted that what is going on is reprovable as a series of very important laws were to be debated this week, awaited by doctors, farmers and national produces, IPN reports.

“This week, we will not have plenary sittings of Parliament, supposedly at the request of a number of MPs. I didn’t see the poll among the MPs and cannot be sure that most of the elected officials do not want to work,” the MP posted on Facebook.

According to Alexandru Slusari, this week the minister of defense was to be questioned about “that more than impudent decision concerning the participation by Moldovan soldiers in the parade in Moscow”. The PPPDA intends to propose voting to create “a parliamentary commission of inquiry into the acts of corruption and unjust enrichment of Igor Dodon”.

“It seems that Parliament has been paralyzed by fear of Dodon. He does not know what to do and, in order to safeguard his own evil interests, has blocked the work of the supreme legislative body. At the Parliament’s Standing Bureau, he usurps the power, ignoring the position of most of the MPs.”
