Parliament appoints new member of Court of Accounts

Parliament appointed yesterday, November 2, Ecaterina Paknehad as member of the Moldovan Court of Accounts for a term of five years. The majority Communist faction proposed to the legislature for consideration two candidates, the second being the former deputy mayor of Chisinau Petru Shvet. Ecaterina Paknehad is 45 years old and has held different posts at the Court of Accounts since 2001. The Court of Accounts is composed of 7 members, three of whom are nominated by the ruling parliamentary faction and four by the opposition.
