Holding of services with the participation of parishioners in courts of churches will be possible as from this weekend. The issue was discussed by President Igor Dodon in a meeting with the Bishop of Bălți and Fălești Markel, IPN reports.
“We considered different issues concerning the support for our Orthodox Church. I noted that I always defended and will continue to defend the Orthodox religion and traditions, which form the basis for Moldova’s statehood,” President Dodon posted on Facebook.
The religious activities involving parishioners were banned in the middle of March. The churches that didn’t comply were fined.
