An overheated stove exploded in a house in Chisinau's Telecentru neighborhood, injuring a 11-year-old child who required hospitalization as a result, IPN reports.

The incident occurred on Sunday, December 7. At the moment of the explosion, the parents and two daughters, 14 and 11, were at home. The explosion affected only the younger daughter, who was hit by brick fragments. The girl was admitted to hospital for head trauma treatment.

Civil Protection Service spokesperson Diana Turcan has advised the public to be cautious with the heating systems as incidents could lead to more serious consequences.
