Over 852,000 ballots to be printed for Moldovan voters abroad

A number of 852,000 ballots are to be printed and delivered to the polling stations established abroad for the presidential election and the constitutional referendum of October 20. The number was decided by the Central Election Commission, IPN reports.

As many as 775,000 ballots will  be in Romanian, 76,000 will be in Russian and 500 will be in the Gagauz language.

The Central Election Commission sends the ballots to the electoral offices of polling stations established outside the Republic of Moldova based on the estimated number of voters determined on the basis of the information presented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the information accumulated by the Commission, but not more than 5,000 ballots per electoral office.

For the October 20 election, 234 polling stations will be set up in 37 countries.
