711 victims of domestic violence were registered in the first six months of this year. Most are women - 663. Among the victims, 27 are children.
According to the Police, over 300 protection orders and over 2,000 emergency restraining orders were issued by the Police during the reporting period. Approximately 4,000 domestic aggressors were registered.
Law enforcement representatives urge victims of domestic violence to report these cases and to visit a forensic examiner in order to prove the bodily harm caused.
Legal and psychological assistance can be received at placement centers for victims of domestic violence.
