The Chisinau City Hall will provide over 32,000 presents for children from early educational institutions. These will be distributed to preschools for being handed over to children during winter holiday performances, IPN reports.
The General Division of Education, Youth and Sport purchased 32,167 presents for children of the 132 preschools of the municipality of Chisinau. The presents contain candies and biscuits.
The total value of the presents is over 1 million lei. The boxes will be accompanied by certificates of compliance. “The presents are distributed for the fifth consecutive year and this became a nice tradition of the municipality,” the City Hall noted in a press release.
The municipal authorities warned that any form of collection of money for presents, fir trees, decorations and any other taxes in connection with the winter holidays is banned.
