More than 300 salary earners have been reinstated in their posts so far this year with the assistance of trade unions. Ion Preguza, head of the Legal Department of the National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova (CNSM), in an informative event for journalists, said that most of the reinstated employees work in education, construction sector and the police, IPN reports.
According to Ion Preguza, among the most often reasons invoked by employers for the dismissal are the violation of the work discipline and program and the cut of the post. The Moldovan legislation largely does not correspond to the international norms and thus there is room for interpretation.
Ion Preguza said the salary earners submit complains daily, but the number of cases that can be examined is low as many employees are not trade union members and do not have work contracts.
The official data of the National Confederation of Trade Unions show that there are about 500,000 trade unionists in Moldova.
