The Central Election Commission said 634 547 ballots will be printed for the June 3 mayoral runoff vote in Chisinau. Of these, 408 080 will be in the Romanian, while the others in Russian, IPN reports.
About 100,000 lei will be spent on ballot printing. The matrix will start to be made at the Central Typography at 9am on May 29. The ballot will be 12.4 cm long and 14.0 cm wide.
The voters will choose between Ion Ceban, the candidate of the Party of Socialists, and Andrei Nastase, the candidate of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth”.
