More than 10,000 people marked the Independence Day of Moldova at a festival organized by the telecoms carrier “Moldtelecom” at the ethnic-cultural complex “Vatra”, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué of “Moldtelecom”, the festival “A country in touch with the future” represented a review of the most important cultural and telecommunications events held in Moldova before and after the declaration of independence. The visitors were able to admire objects from the Moldova Film museum and an exhibition of old equipment, TV sets, and telephones and to familiarize themselves with the newest gadgets provided by “Moldtelecom”.
The company staged football, badminton, arrow shutting and ax throwing competitions. Those who wanted could try clothes dating from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s and learn epoch dances. An interactive contest entitled “A selfie with Moldtelecom” was held on the company’s facebook page. The people were to have pictures taken near the stand of “Moldtelecom” and to post them on the personal facebook page.
Also, the company offered prizes so that the most active participants, besides caps, T-shirts and Unité cards, also won three free subscriptions for a period of six months: Internet + Digital Television + Fixed Telephone for the first place; Internet + Digital Television for the second place, and Internet for the third place.
The concert involved Cristi Aldea-Teodorovici, Natalia Gordienko, Catalin Josan, Tatiana Cerga & Band. It culminated with an exceptional show offered by the band “Zdob si Zdub”.
