Our Party polled most of votes in elections to Balti Municipal Council

The Political Party “Our Party” gained 24.77% of the ballot or 9,148 votes in the elections to the Balti Municipal Council. The Party of Socialists ranked second with 22.13% of the poll or 8,173 votes. These are the preliminary results presented after processing all the 60 voting reports, IPN reports.

The Party of Action and Solidarity polled 13.59% of the ballot or 5,017 votes and is followed by the Party “Force of Alternative and Salvation of Moldova” with 10.98% or 4,056 votes. The Party of Change won 6.69% or 2,471 votes, the Revival Party – 5.10% or 1,884 votes, the Party of Communists – 3.91% or 1,445 votes.

The other parties obtained less than 3% of the poll.

The Balti Municipal Council consists of 35 councilors. Under the Electoral Code, the seats of councilor to parties and electoral blocs are distributed by successively dividing the number of valid votes cast for each party and bloc by 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. up to the digit that corresponds to the number of seats set for the given electoral constituency.
