OSCE Secretary General Feridun H. Sinirlioğlu, concluded his visit to the Republic of Moldova today. He held talks including with President Maia Sandu. On the agenda of the talks between the two officials were regional security, the OSCE's effort to reintegrate the Republic of Moldova and the human rights issue in the Transnistrian region, IPN reports.
The OSCE official noted that over the past 30 years the OSCE mission in Moldova has built a strong partnership with the Chisinau authorities and the Tiraspol administration.
"We will continue to use our unique experience and expertise to facilitate constructive dialogue and find solutions to problems that affect the lives of people living on both sides of the Dniester", Sinirlioğlu said.
The talks also discussed the impact of Russian aggression in Ukraine on our country, including the Transnistrian settlement process. The necessary measures to strengthen democracy and the rule of law in the face of foreign attempts to undermine democracy in the Republic of Moldova were evoked.
