The yesterday’s explosion has shocked and saddened the OSCE Mission to Moldova by the tragic loss of life in Tiraspol, a declaration launched on Monday, August 14 by the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, Ambassador Louis O’Neill says.
O’Neill offers on behalf of the entire Mission condolences and deepest sympathy to the families, friends and colleagues of the victims and wish them a speedy and full recovery.
“For the second time this summer people have been killed and injured in a violent and pointless way, and the full circumstances surrounding both explosions remain unclear. The OSCE Mission to Moldova stands ready to provide all possible support to the local authorities to help them determine the cause of this tragic event and to ensure the apprehension and punishment of those responsible. This includes readiness to convey any specific requests for assistance to OSCE participating states”, the Head of the Mission declared.
A trolleybus circulating on the route no.2 in Tiraspol exploded on Sunday, August 13, 13:55, in the district Kolkotovaia Balka. According to preliminary investigations, the blast was provoked by a RGD-5 grenade.
